Prelude Yellow Ignition Wire Ground Out Car Dead What should I look at first
I bought this 94' Honda Prelude VTEC from a guy who totally ghettoed it out. This last weekend I attempted to clean up some of the wiring that he did (for neon lights and stupid crap like that) and I noticed a black wire under my dash that wasn't ground. After reading the wiring diagram for the car I concluded that it should be ground and is probably the reason why my CC does not work. I turned on the car and it emediatly died. The black wire was for some reason spliced into the yellow ignition wire coming from my ignition switch, it was my own dumb ass fault for not unsheathing the wires before grounding them but now I'm stuck with a car that will not do anything that requires a ignition position. The fuses all seem in good shape, where should I go from there? Any help would really be appritiated.
Thanks, Mike |

Re: Prelude Yellow Ignition Wire Ground Out Car Dead What should I look at first
If you have checked all fuses and relays under the hood and under that dash, well, it's time to start tracing wires. Check for input to your ignition switch. If you are getting input, you should get ouput. If input, but no output with key on, replace the switch. Only replace the switch if You are absolutely sure that there is nothing coming through it.
