02 focus need help

my roomate has an 02 focus dohc she had a broken engine mount(the one on the passenger fender support)one of the bolts sheered of and the engine was piviting on the other. she took it into the ford dealer and they fixed it but when it came out of the shop there was no power.the tech noted that there was little power and he said he played with the vac lines but he could not do anything.there was not a problem when it whent it so i told here to go back,but they said there was nothing they could do because the tech put a note on the work order to cover his ass.so i took a gander at it.it seems like a vac problem i ran all the vac lines and could not find anything.i did the brakekleen thing but nothing.when u step on the gas it hits 5 grand before it shifts and sometimes the brakes get hard like there is a vac problem.i ues a lenght of hose to listen i can hear something but i cant pin point the spot.is there problems with the plastic intake? are they prone to have problems? if u can help i thank you!!!!
