Cracked clear coat..

hello you guys... well ya'll know abou mt new cavy z24 with the ecotec..hehe.. Im just wondering are there any tricks to camoflage cracked clear coat on my front spoiler.. Like iv tried waxing but it still shows. Now I know the right way would be to redo the whole front spoiler but, id like to wait and redo it next year after the winter.. Is there anything thats like clear that I can put on it just for now so that it shows less.. Its on lower front spoiler(driver side).. Is there any good polished compound I can do to it so that I can just camoflage it for now.. ???
The spoiler is not cracked or anything, just the clear on it..

I don't know how long or wide the crack is but compound will not do the trick because there is nothing there but base coat to polish and if you keep doing it the color will be gone soon. I have done this in places that are not to noticeable on cars for people in my shop that didn't want to spend a lot of money or for car dealers trying to run them through the sales. To keep from having to buy a quart of clear and activator if you know someone that owns a paint shop go buy one day he is shooting clear on a car and get him to put you some in container so you can seal it, you will not need much unless the crack is the Grand Canyon, and get home. Take a Scotch-Brite pad med or fine and scuff the area a little then take a paper match (the end that you tear out of the book) dip in the clear and fill in the crack. You want it a little higher and wider or a lot depending on your sanding experience. Let this dry about a day or two depending on how thick you put it. Get some 400 grit wet sanding paper some water keep your hand flat and sand until it matches the rest (just don't sand in that one spot sand lightly in a area but don't sand corners or edges or you will cut through). When it feels right then go to the compound I like the beige color for cutting but the pink cleans up easier.Get you a buffer and buff it out watching your edges and corners like on the sanding.

thanks for the tips... I also tried some clear nail polish on some finner cracks.. seems like its working.. But, I am gonna get it all repainted next year at a friends place for sure....

you can also try clear shoe polish...... I use to redo the bumpers on my old cavy, they were black.. so every spring i would re-polish them with black shoe polish... it was called scuff something.... Ill get me some clear and try it on the cracks.. altho ill get the whole front bumper and kit re-painted next year..

... I have a frined that will do it..
