Battery Life, Just had to share

Just replaced the original battery in my '96 Aurora with 175,000 miles. The first thing the guy at O'Reilly's said was - That battery is ten years old!; the second thing was - I don't have one; could get one by Tuesday (this is a common theme). The guy laughed and said - don't even try to charge it, it's had a good life!

Re: Battery Life, Just had to share

i have a 1997 and just replaced the original battery at 197,700 miles. Pretty good job. Way to expensive to replace though. Advanced wanted $120 or so for one that wasnt even enough cca's. i just got a junk walmart battery for now (it was free ), and im wondering how long it'll last.

To everyone putting a Walmart battery in.....if they are not vented, you are asking for trouble....here in Ontario, Walmart can't even get a vented battery.....
