Removing rear speakers.

Hey, I saw a post awhile ago about this and it had great info. but I still couldn't quite get it on removing the rear speakers. Haha...figured I better ask because otherwise I pretty much guarntee I would have broke something. Anyway, any help on removing the carpet over the speakers in the back to replace the speakers? Also, I am thinking about going with all Pioneer speakers for front and back and then rockford/fossgate for 1 or possibly 2 subwoofers. Any input on that?
-Appreciate the replies!

Re: Removing rear speakers.

Try this and if you need the pics any bigger let me know...

Fig. 6: Removing the rear window panel trim

Fig. 7: After removing the rear speaker and spacer assembly, ...

Fig. 8: ... separate the speaker from the spacer by unfastening the retaining bolts

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear window panel trim, as outlined in Body & Trim of this guide.
  3. Press the tab on the front of the rear speaker spacer and lift the spacer.
  4. Pull forward on the rear speaker spacer.
  5. Detach the speaker wire harness connector.
  6. Remove the speaker spacer and speaker.
  7. Unfasten the retaining bolts, then remove the speaker from the spacer.
