94 Jimmy uncommon wiper problem
Hey all. I have a 94 Jimmy I just picked up. It sat for around 9 months. I first turned on the wipers and found them inoperative. I clicked the multiswitch a few times and still nothing. I was checking voltages when the washer pump started to smoke. I disconnected it. I then tried the wipers again and they moved 2 inches. I turned them off and on and still nothing. I then manually parked them. They moved 2 inches when I turned them on.
Is the pulse board problem a feast or famine thing? I'm leaning toward actual motor but they did work before it sat. The sitting would most likely effect the pulse board. Is the washer pump somehow related to this? I'm very close to test this vehicles resiliency when driven off a cliff. Thanks |

Re: 94 Jimmy uncommon wiper problem
Could be the motor, but the pulse board controls the motor and the washer pump. The pulse board is easy to change, may be go to a junk yard and find a motor that works and take the pulse board out and try it on yours.
