We've had no problems at all but others seem to have heaps. They are a mechanical beast so you do need to look after them. I'd ask to see the maintenance records for the car first to see if it has had lots of problems happening. If not then it is probably a reliable one (going on the past life of the car).
You can buy a car with your head or your heart. Sometimes the head is the wisest BUT always the heart will give you the warmest feelings. Good Luck. |

I would stay clear of a 2003 convertable beetle unless you like to drive with the top up year round. There were and still are LOTS of problems with 2003-2005 nb convertables with the stupid flaps in the rear. VW had SO MANY issues with them they removed them for the 2005+ models.
