I'm trying to replace the rear wiper motor on my 97 Trans Sport, the problem is they used a stupid plastic nut on the metal output shaft. What happens when you go to remove it, the plastic nut gets its threads ripped right out.
The new one doesn't come with the hardware, i tried a half dozen sources, and still no go. The dealership i called just told me to bring it in and they can fix it, yeah right, if i wanted to pay them $50 an hour for the priviledge to install a nut i would have in the first place.
I need to find a part number for the nut and i should also get a replacement rubber gasket that sits under the nut. If anyone knows the part numbers for
7, 8, and 9, on the following picture let me know please!! I could also use a replace for number 5, its the plastic cover that goes over the nut that holds the wiper arm on the output shaft.
I got this diagram off GM parts direct, but unfortunately it doesnt list anything other than number 11.
