struts

I have had my Altima for 10+ years and have yet to change the struts. My question is: should I change the struts? Also, what else should I replace? I want my car to have that tight ride it had when I first bought it. Not sure if this is possible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Eddie

Re: struts

To start off with are the struts done? Push down a few times on the bumper, if it doesn't bounce up more then twice then they are still fine.
I'd look into an upper strut mount brace(better cornering), maybe a set of adjustable coil overs.(adjustable height = lower stance & center of gravity = better handling)
Both these items can be gotten for under 100 a piece.
If you are going to replace your struts, it depends on if you want a hard stiff ride or just a well balanced handling car, the struts rebound rate will determine which of these u'll get so you might want to consider that.
I'd try the 2 items I mentioned above for improved handling, the coils wear over time the same as shocks & struts.
Not sure on ur year, but Check these links out:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Bomz-1993-2001-Ni...QQcmdZViewItem
They will work with factor struts.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/93-97-94-95-96-NI...QQcmdZViewItem
Will tighten steering and handling in the front end.

If you where to buy anything from these sellers PLEASE use a pay pal account. As sometimes sellers try to screw you over and pay pal allows you to start a claim against the seller and will get your $$$$ back.
PM me with any ?'s
