Running Lights

On a 99 T/A, are the yellow blinker lights on the front fascia supposed to on when the car is just running w/o the running lights? Whenever I turn on my car, niether of them are on, but when I put down the parking brake, only the right side light comes on. When I turn the running lights on, the left side also comes on but it's very dim. Also, the left side blinker is very slow. I've replaced the left side bulb and fuses. Anyone know what the problem is and could it be related to the clock going on and off?

Re: Running Lights

Yea, sorry I couldnt respond before you found the problem. Ive found a lot of the questions dont get answered right away on here as most people dont check this site more than once a day. My suggestion would have been to replace the socket as GM used regular sockets on these things and then over taxed them by having them stay lit all the time and then use them as turn signals too which gets them hotter than they really should. Jeep had the same issue with their rear sockets thanks to daytime running lights.

Re: Running Lights

The clock problem was related to the window motor drawing too many amps from the battery, so every 5th time or so the window was moved all electrical acessories turned off.
