Poll: What to do with my newly acquired "Broken Black Beater"
So as many of you know, I have two Talons now, a purple 90 AWD Talon and a black 91 AWD Talon. The purple car is going to be made into a straight line car no matter what, its the black car I am unsure of. Its not going to be a straight line car, I dont need two of those. Its in pretty bad physical shape but the mechanical parts are good. Heres my ideas for it. Either A) Junk it and use it as parts for the purple car or B) RWD drift talon. What do you all think? Part out the black car and sell/use its parts or store it a while and make it a RWD drifter (obviously not a competition one, just something to screw around with).

I vote field hopper. lol
![]() Actually I would just take parts ya need to get the nicer shape one running and then sell the rest of the parts to "fund" the buildup.

Re: Poll: What to do with my newly acquired "Broken Black Beater"
So heres an idea I got today. I should paint the black talon purple, then witch the plates, VIN tags, and bring the insurance paper over when I want to drive it. Huh? What do you think about that? The black talon wouldnt really exist, there would just be two of my purple talon.

Re: Poll: What to do with my newly acquired "Broken Black Beater"
It depends on how you plan on making it RWD. From what I saw inside of Brent Rau's car, it looked as if the driveshaft was coming through next to his arm. So it doesn't really seem practical and would also cost a lot of money to redo everything with the engine turned 90 degrees. Hell...I've wanted to do it, and even tried to find someway to swap a 4g63t into a 240, but I think Power Glide is one of the few, if not the only, ones you can get a RWD setup from, and it really doesn't seem to be a "direct swap" kinda deal. Part it out.

Re: Poll: What to do with my newly acquired "Broken Black Beater"
The RWD would be done the way RMR did the Evo 8 in F&FTD. I would probably cut the ends of the axles off and put them in the tranny like a plug. Wham-O instaRWD.

Re: Poll: What to do with my newly acquired "Broken Black Beater"
Yeah, uh... no. 90* turn and powerglide = death. Or I could just part it and keep the plugs and full axles for the purple talon. Gah, I have 8 months to figure it out
