PT Vs. 350z

So im crusin around town testing out my turbo cause im trying to get all the bugs worked out. I have a couple friends and my girlfriend in the car and they are enjoying the newfound power. I pull up to a stop sign on a well known cross street and look over to find a 350z with a lady in it, not thinking much i take off and gently start to spool the turbo, this must have caught her attention as she quickly started to pace me, so i romped it and slammed into second letting the BOV sound, i spun the first part of second... feathered it and hooked, by this time she is door to door with me, i continued to give it all its got but by the end she pulled about a 1 1/2 to 2 cars on my. I was very pleased with the turbo cause at that time i had some boost leak on one of the couplers and was only running 4 pounds so i didnt blow a hose off. Now i have 6 pounds at the crack of the throttle. Cant wait for a civic to say i drive a grandma car.(i do but it is one hell of a grandma car).

Yeah, sounds like you need to invest in some t-bolt clamps.

Yes, that is correct 209 SRT. I have a base model PT Cruiser that i put a to4 into. Most of the parts are custom machined, cause lets face it, who in the hell is gonna sell parts for PT power boosting, no one.

Actually, check out http://www.forwardmotioninc.com. They sell stuff for TDs, the Neon, and the SRT-4. Since you have the same 2.4 maybe they have some stuff you could use.

he doesnt have the same 2.4 cause it's a different engine set up unless it's the one with the factory turbo, in that case he wouldve done better against the Z. They also have a stage 1 for the PT GT.

Which reminds me, why didnt you get the one that comes turbo, seems to me like it wouldve been easier to tune and cost less and have less problems in the long run.

Re: PT Vs. 350z

Maybe the same reason people work on the EX Civic, when getting an Si would be the best if you choose to go that route...

yeah but those people who buy ex's when you think about it spend more money trying to make it as fast as a SI that they would if they just bought the SI

Re: PT Vs. 350z

I knew someone that swapped an SRT-4 engine and turbo into a standard Neon. It was a real sleeper, but turned out to be a big hassle and a lot of money. They would have been better off just selling the Neon and buying an SRT-4. Stock Neon tires suck real bad too when you have that much HP.
