Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
prolly a lot. you have to buy the lift kits, the rims, the tires. the rims are prolly about $800 a piece for decent 28s. i would figure about 5-6K for a well done job, w/ decent parts.

Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
IMO: Save your money, that will make it a clown car. Waste-o money.
use that money to get a groundpounding Fuel injected 383 in there I tend to not affilate myself with the group of people "idiots" who do that to caprices.

Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
i completely agree, this is a serious car forum, not pimp my ride, no one here really cares about doing that kind of stuff, because we actually care how our car HANDLES and LOOKS, i have no respect for people who do that king of stuff to cars

Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
I agree with the above comments about not doing that to your car. Its taking a nice car and turning it into something that looks so stupid.
If you really want those big of rims (why????) then get some sort of SUV of truck and put them on there. but if you must do that to the poor poor car then yes its going to run you at least 5k to do it. my on the topic.Quote:

Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
heres a question:
how do you get in and out of lifted cars and trucks. i've seen trucks with 53" tires, and a 14"+ lift. it looks cool, but how do you get in when the bottom of the door is level with your shoulders??? kinda off topic, but its been bothering me for a while. |

Re: lifted caprice 75 or 95
when we go down to the beach in NC, every so often you will pass an off road store. i remember one such store had a lifted 80's caprice wagon on a trailer parked in front. it had lockers on the front axle so i assume it was 4wd. it had a moderate lift (not crazy like 4 ft!!!) and huge paddled sand tires on 18" wheels (really cool actually).
this is the ONLY way i would LIFT a caprice... to turn it into a sand monster. |
