Re: Help! Speed Gauge suddenly stopped working

Is this the OEM cluster or aftermarket? Could be hitting somthing if its aftermarket happens all the time with cheap guages. If OEM most likely the VSS.

Re: Help! Speed Gauge suddenly stopped working

Hello thanks! and sorry for not answering back sooner. Well my speed gauge is OEM, the strange thing is, it started working again, but an odd thing happens when I push the pedal all the way down and try to accelerate from a red light, the speed gauge goes to about 30mph, goes down to zero and flips back to my current speed. I´m concerned. What could it be?

Sounds to me like you need to replace the VSS. Either that, or check the connection on the speed sensor itself. It happened to me on an old GST Eclipse I had, and a new pigtail connector fixed it right up.
