Help! I'm sucked by the mechanic

I have a 1996 Camaro RS V6 3.8L 110K.

Yesterday, I went to a local auto shop to have my oil pan gasket changed. They also changed the spark plug wires for me. I know they removed the exhaust system when they did the oil pan gasket change.

I saw black smoke from the exhaust when I started the car at that auto shop. When I got the car home finally, I found that the "Low Oil" light was on. I checked the oil dipstick, the engine oil was overfilled, I took out about 1 quart of Engine oil to make the reading normal. My Check Engine light was also on. I ran a check engine scan and found several codes: Intake Air Temperature sensor 1 circuit too high, O2 Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 3), MIL on, Fuel Comp, Catalyst, Misfire.

What a mechanic genius! Anyway, do you guys know what was happening? What should I do?

Thank you so much!

Tips on finding a good repair shop.
Check around Ask around
Word of mouth.
Family friends coworkers neighbors business people and delivery people.
Mailmen and parcel delivery people get around and notice a lot of stuff.
Even a good parts house knows what shops are good and not good.
Chamber of commerce and better business bureau and city hall.
If you find a good referral to a repair shop go look them over and talk to them.
Look for a clean looking busy place with nice people running it.
Ask a few questions and ask about their qualifications and training.
Not all places have trained tech/mechanics.
If they do not find a place that does.
Even all dealers do not have all trained techs/mechanics.
Good Luck MT

Thanks for the tips.

I really can not figure out how they can create these troubles?

Guys, be careful next time when you go to an auto shop. Some of the mechanics do not even know how to change engine oil.

sound as though its miss fireing. maybe they f'ed up the sparkplugs...thats a start. i think u may have solved the oil issue by taking sum out...oh i looked back and see the miss fire...anyhow, the plugs may be wrong. make sure u get them to check that first...those sensors u may have to just get new ones i dunno
