Question Transmission retaining pin

Where this retaining pin belongs on a 125c transmission? I ensamble my transmission and forgot where this pin goes.

It goes on the shift linkage rod that runs from the top of the trans were you neutral safety switch and shift cable goes. There will be a hole on the side of the trans about a 1/2" down from the top of the case. Its inside under the chain/case cover.
