So long, Civic.

Well, about a week ago, my 4dr civic lx was donated to the Salvation Army. It no longer had a perfect body/paint...an old man sideswiped my dad while he was driving and there's about a 2 ft gash on the passenger side. The insurance called it 50/50 at fault, which pissed me off. The money is put into repairing/maintaining my current DA.

Before i donated it though, i cut the radio harness (aftermarket harness was crimped into the original wires), and took out the old radio that was better than the one in my DA, and replaced it with my mom's non working (radio is fine) Odyssey tape deck (didnt bother to wire it up).

Darn it, i just got up to Regular Member too. I guess i'll post in the Integra DA section nowdays, but i'll occasionally check up on this forum. I was kinda sad to see it go, after i put much work into restoring it, but the costs did not justify the results. the timing belt and water pump were desperately needed, and a week before we donated it, it was rattling like mad.. 266,xxx miles...we had a good run.

Re: So long, Civic.

Sorry to hear you got hit... The LX was a nice model, I don't care what anyone says.. It was really hard to give mine to my friend, after I pushed #1 rod through the side of the block, behind the A/C bracket... *R.I.P. Sweet "B2"*

Good news is, Dave rebuilt the motor, with Si top end, and we did the Mpfi swap... now it's insane... so I'm happy it got a second life.

Re: So long, Civic.

My favorite car was my 90 civic lx with 5 spd. Tree fell on it 2 yrs ago. After I got the tree off and cut the roof off I drove round the house once. Good cars
