Front struts lower bolt removal

Hey Group;

I damaged one of my struts by hitting a very poorly designed road in Houston.
I purchased a set of struts and spring clamp. Every thing is loose. However, the lower bolts will not come loose. They have "Double D" bo;t heads about 3/4 inch.

Has anyone replaced the front struts? If yes please describe the lower bolt removal method. Mine are stuck very very tight. I would assume they should just slide out after the nut is removed

Re: Front struts lower bolt removal

I used an electric impact wrench and that was it the nuts came off. always clean lube the bolts threads that will prevent any damage. Once I removed the nuts I turned the bolts out. I did not have a spring compressor I took the struts to a shop and had them assemly the struts and springs
