how to reset systems with aftermarket radio installed
I had to have an aftermarket radio installed in my 2000 impala when my original AM/FM tape deck broke the tape reader head. I did my best to make sure that the aftermarket stereo would function as the original and was sold a $130.00 cable that was supposed to accomplish this task. Of course after several months I found out that it did not work. How do I reset the systems in my car (oil change, service vehicle, etc) with out the original radio.
Please help. standmcneil |

Re: how to reset systems with aftermarket radio installed
that $130 harness (overpaid) was probabaly to relocate your harness to the trunk. Unless they sold you on something and you just bent over and screamed "harder, harder"
Otherwise it's all in the manual, if you dont have one, off the top of my head it's this. oil change light: turn car 'ON', DO NOT START fully depress gas pedal and release, do this 3 times in 5 seconds. too fast wont work, too lsow wont work, pedal not fully depressed and released wont work, so it may take a few tries tire pressure: with car 'ON", but I think it can be running too, i'm not positive pull your dimmer switch (headlight switch) out to the parking lights (1 pull) and push it back in. do this 3 times in 5 seconds. |
