EGR valve keeps getting stuck
I've removed and cleaned out the blockage in the EGR valve twice and it lookd like a third time wouldn't hurt. Is there some thing else I should be doing?

Re: EGR valve keeps getting stuck
When the EGR valve is removed, you should try to clean out the EGR passages in the intake as much as possible. You can use a stiff wire (coat hanger), tube brushes, or whatever works to remove the buildup, then vacuum it out as best you can before installing the EGR valve again. Excessive buildup can be caused by incorrect mixture, oil burning, or excessive use of fuel additives, either by you or the fuel blender.

They do make a EGR valve gasket with a screen in it that may help.. But as said usually something is causing the problem to start with. Always work on the main problem to. MT
