5sp Manual tranny FILL PLUG?????
I'm looking for the fill plug on my '93 1.0L manual transmission.
Is it the great big hex head around the back on the driverside of the trans near where the axle stabs in? I just went past 200K with my little 4dr hatchback. I gotta tell ya. This thing is savin' my bacon at the gas pump. I think I need to pay more attention to her. |

Re: 5sp Manual tranny FILL PLUG?????
Looks good. Can anyone verify the exact capacity of the tranny?
I heard it's 2.5qts. |

Re: 5sp Manual tranny FILL PLUG?????
I just changed my 5 speed gear oil using MatLax's suggestion. 2.5 quarts. The drain plug had a square hole that fits a 3/8 socket wrench shaft. I used aquarium hose and inserted it in the tranny mount bolt hole to fill it. Thanks for the tips.
