1987 Dodge D100 Question

I own a 1987 Dodge D100 with a 5.2 L V8 engine. I recently bought a thermostat for it. Is a 190 degrees Fahrenheit rating for a thermostat too high for this engine. Also, what is the normal operating temperature of the 5.2 L engine also known as the 318 cu. in. V8?

Re: 1987 Dodge D100 Question

They came with 195's. A 190 won't hurt it.
