Expenses getting out of hand!

Ok, so I told you all about my ticket that I got, well the info on that is in my signature.

Also, my car starts making noise asd I drive and I was told that it was the brake wear indicator, so I take it to pepboys (not the best place, but they have free brake diagnostic) and find out that I have to replace not only the front pads and shit, they gotta do the rear drums too! So that was another $260 hit to melts pocket.

I gotta get a better job

At least my dad said he would pay for new tires on the VX rims, cause I need new tires on my current rims anyway, and he likes the VX rims cause they are honda stock and I am not increasing size (I used to have some 15's that he hated, had to sell em to pay for tranny problems)

Well, enough of my bitching.

Does anyone know where to get those wiper blades with the aero dynamic lip to keep em on the window? I seen em on some civic at target parking lot the other day and they were tight. Cause when I do over 80 on the freeway the wipers begin to lift up (not in the rain)

why not just do the brakes yourself? discs are easy a shyt and drums arent hard but it just takes a while *well it did for me* to put the new ones together, saved me alot of money too deff didnt pay more than 30 for front and back brakes

Don't forget that to do brakes properly, the disks and drums have to be machined.

Now I've done this once with an angle grinder (I shit you not) and come to the conclusion that it's something that requires specialised machinery Fortunately it was on a Celica, not a Civic

As far as your wipers go, they do make "wings" to go on there to keep them down. My car came with one on the drivers side and it works pretty nice. The only place that I've seen them is at Asylumms.com but they say Type R on it. You could always repaint it....thats if you want to order from them. Those things are in the "Exterior" section after your pick your Make/Model/Year

Dude, pads and rotors from pep boys should total about $32. Do the work yourself and it will only cost you $32 to do the whole front. I am a front disc master, I can tell you exactly how to do everything if you want. Only thing is Pep Boys sells Raysbestos pads which work fine but produce massive amounts of brake dust so you will be cleaning wheels a lot, but VXs have more ventilation than Steelies do I guess so it won't be so bad. And Pep Boys have lifetime guarantee on their rotors so when they wear out you get more for free.

I redid the all four wheels not long before my engine died and it only cost me $80, and that was with brand new rotors and drums (I'm not cheap, so I replace instead of machine)

i agree, the brakes are really easy to do yourself. however, we have to remember, we get newbies up in here all the time. not just newbies to the boards but to their cars as well. hoopty whoop is in need of breaks real soon. when that time comes i'll take pics step by step and add info to the how-to's

MELT, slow down...don't go and hit your reply button just yet. i know you've been around here for a bit now. i'm not calling you a newbie... however, there are still things for you to learn

just thought i'd point out to everyone that not all newbies realize what is easy to do yourself. and some don't have tools at all...just something to keep in mind

No offense taken, I kind of know the fundamentals and how stuff is done, but as far as actually DOING it, yeah, i guess i'm a newbie. Probably the reason I havent really messed with the engine

Is it possible for the judge to take away my eligibility for traffic school if I go to court? Cause I heard it is
