Greddy RS vs XS RFL
Hey guys, I have been fixing the car for the past 2 weeks and I am frikin ready to set it on fire. Aside from my anger I have a question. I want a real
XS RFL BOV . Now, I am not talking about ebay knock off. I just got a real Greddy Type RS and its OK but I wanted to try the XS RFL. The real BOV is about 200. Its says it will hold up to 35psi of boost. How do I seperate the fake XS RFL bov from the real one. Any one here ever use the RFL bov and what are your comments about it. Also, I saw defiency has one for sale in his sig, which one is that ?

Re: Greddy RS vs XS RFL
I think the best way to sort it out, Is buy it from a reputable shop. They're not going to sell you a knock off.
Are you venting???? cause if your not I would say don't waste your money. And if you are recirculating is better for your car but not as cool I'll admit.

Re: Greddy RS vs XS RFL
buy it from extremepsi.com they have the rfl blow off valve and the install kit all for 199. i have the rfl its the newer model it sounds great and is very noticible most people say the rfl leaks but i have pressure tested mine and it doesnt leak anything at all. my friend has the hks ssqv and i like it also it holds a lot of boost and is pretty loud i just dont like the pitch it puts off.
but yea the rfl is a vent only blow off valve so keep that in mind

Re: Greddy RS vs XS RFL
Turbo XS BOV's are famous for leaking. I say keep the RS.

Re: Greddy RS vs XS RFL
I got to run my RFL for a little while and absolutly loved how it sounded... I don't believe this whole boost leaking thing to be as true as everyone makes it out to be. I'll be sure to pressure test mine as well when its all back together again.

Re: Greddy RS vs XS RFL
I've personally worked with about 6 of those TurboXS BOV's and they ALL leaked. The reason is they use a plain metal on metal seal on the piston to try and seal air. Metal on Metal NEVER seals air. It will leak, keep the RS. You might not like the sound but it is 100x better of a blow off valve.
