cheap 4g63nt mod

after doing different mods to my 1g N/t (intake, exhaust, headers) i decided there has to be something eles to gain some more HP. So i found some 96 galant 4g64 injectors at my local scrap yard, so i put them in to see if i would get any gain out of them, I noticed a big difference in pick up and pull. So far this has been a nice mod. So hopfully this helps other n/t owners

Re: cheap 4g63nt mod

I don't really understand how this would help you, with your mods you don't require any more fuel that what the stock injectors can provide...

well stock n/t 4g63 injectors are 235cc.... 4g64 injectors from the galants are 300cc injectors.

Re: cheap 4g63nt mod

well IMO i think the injectors add HP i mean it dont take me to long to tack it up at all with the galant injectors. And i feel a hell of alot more pull when driving, i think it was a pretty good mod

Re: cheap 4g63nt mod

The only thing I could think of is a little bit of power gain. Probably not much, but I would imagine you would feel some more pull because theres a bit more fuel being squeezed in.

Re: cheap 4g63nt mod

yea but more fuel does not equal more power. There is an optimum a/f ratio which your ecu tries to attain, when you add bigger injectors the ecu continues to open up the bigger injectors like it would for the smaller injectors, the only thing is at the same level the bigger injector flows more, which causes too much fuel and the car runs rich. This actually decreases the cars power. The only way tossing in bigger injectors without controlling them could help your car is if for some reason your ecu was calibrated to run too lean and now the bigger injectors by accident are causing better stoichoimetry.
and I know for sure that the turbo ecu's are already running rich (to avoid damage (or so they say).
But if it worked for you good!
