1990 tracker engine miss

Just spent a complete week putting a differant motor in my 90 model tracker. finally got it to start up and now it has a horrible miss. I've checked all the vacuum hoses and plugs and wires .. not for sure what else to check could someone help if any ideas?

please be more specific on what it is doing.
I.E. What kind of motor? No spark? Compession?

backfiring through the intake. doesn't want to run when you put in in gear, it starts to backfire worse and quits completely.

double check timing.. reset everything timing wise.
