diagnostic scanners

Im looking to buy a diagnostic scanner. I was hoping to get a few opinions before buying. I dont have the $ for the top o the line stuff. (snap-on) So I was looking at the ACTRON at advanced. Then I saw they even carry some at Wal-Mart now(i cant remember the name of the ones at wal mart) Does anyone have an opinion on wich is the best in the $100 to $200 range?
THANKS!

Re: diagnostic scanners

If the car your looking to scan was made before 1995. you will have OBD1

You can do the paperclip trick to get the codes with OBD1. Quick google search will tell you how, its real easy.
