AC delay problem
Anyone had a problem similar to mine: Get in my car, start it up with AC on and have to drive it around a while (10-15 minutues) before it kicks on or blows any air out at all. This just start about 2 weeks ago and the system is fully charged. I can't even get the heater to kick on...really strange problem. Brand new AC compressor, accumulator & orfice tube, when it does work it is really cold air. Any opinions or comments.

Re: AC delay problem
Your problem sounds alot like the problem i just fixed. I have a 97 Aurora
and the fixed was to replace the a/c blower motor module(a/c power module). It's located on the passengerside, under the dash to the left of the blower motor. To remove you need to remove 2 small bolts and the 2 connections. Very easy to fix, about 15min. from start to finish. The part cost me $83.75 from rockauto.com. They also have a picture of the part. Hope this helps. |
