low coolant sensor

I have a 2001 Sable with the duratec engine. Lately the low coolant light has been coming on every once in a while even though the coolant level isn't low, and the temperature is good. Anyone know what I can do to stop this light from coming on? Such as where is the sensor? Can I unplug it?

Re: low coolant sensor

The sensor is actually an integrated part of the entire coolant reservoir. To fix it, you need to put a nice, new reservoir in it's place.

If you want to bypass the sensor, it's under the reservoir and you have to remove it to get to it.
