Back of the block, close to the middle, a couple inches up from the oil pan. 3 wire plug attached to it.
Assuming you are talking about the 420a motor. |

Its actually above the oil filter on the back of the block. Not even close to the middle.

The knock sensor is the one that's screwed into the block, somewhere close to the middle.
