Digital display--loose connection???

As I drive the digital display will disappear, light all yup etc, as I encounter bumps in the road. siound to me like a loose connection somewhere. Can anyone point me in the direction to loook for this loose connection??? Thank you. I'm a newbie so please be gentle!!!!

I'd suggest you start by pulling out the whole digitial dash piece. On the back side will be a bunch of connectors. Clean all of these up as good as possible. Then re-install. If that doesn't help, you will probably need to replace the unit.

I had the same problem on my 1991 astro with the digital dash and the problem was a bad ground. There are two grounds that go to the digital dash. My bad ground was in the wire harness (cut & corroded wire) that goes from the positive battery cable which is right behind & below the battery. You will have to undo the tape & conduit from the negative battery cable to the junction block on the firewall. Hope this helps you. Ron
