Re: stock vr4 ic piping diameter?

What turbos are you using, becuase 9bs and a huge FMIC don't necessarily mix well IMO.

Re: stock vr4 ic piping diameter?

ya im using 9b's but in the future ill probably upgrade and i dont want to have to constantly upsize the ic and piping. iv talked to some people on 3si and im going to get an ebay core 12x24x3" and that should do fine with a DECENT psi drop and good flow characteristics. but im 17, hence, open to opinions (learning as i go) so thanks for the heads up. some other people told me right bfore i was going to buy a Huge fmic haha

don't forget the wiring harness from that same year VR4 ecu. not sure if different year wiring harnesses are interchangeable or not.

wiring harness, or you can make your own low impedance injectors. can't remember what other connectors you'll need, but i'm sure the vr4 harness would tie up any loose ends.

Re: stock vr4 ic piping diameter?

For the sake of cost, I'd go used and modified DSM sidemounts and used vr4 piping, or just get a universal pipe kit on ebay and cut what you need.

I'm tryin 2 find a thread I think you should read, but the search features are really slow right now, and I'm in a rush, so I'll try and find it later.

Re: stock vr4 ic piping diameter?

funny u said that morhphius cuz i had only seen 9b's in pictures and when i got them i thought someone was pranking me but heck im a lifeguard and on a budget but if u want to donate to the td05 fund.... haha. some others had suggested dsm side mounts igo but some guys with stock vr4's use the ebay core and ic piping, and im basically going to b the same as them. and im not gonna lie, i 78.1% want a front mount because it will look nasty on the front of my car.
