Angry vibration 2003 Civic LX

Hi,
I recently bought a 2003 Civic LX and have noticed vibration in the car especially through the steering wheel at low speeds and when idleing. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem or how to repair it? I took it to a local mechanic and he could not find anything causing the problem. The car has previouslly been in an accident, to the front drivers side quarter panel, however the damage reported was "minor" the tiltle is not a salvage. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Re: vibration 2003 Civic LX

While driving and having vibration I would say the normal things everyone here would say which is are your wheels aligned and balanced. But if its vibrating at idle maybe it could be a motor mount? Or possibly a loose connection on your exhaust. Some other things that were suggested to check when this topic was brought up was your idle is it correct? Do you have any mods? Has the oil and filter been changed recently..Also check the fuel filter. Hard to diagnose this issue can be multiple things.

Re: vibration 2003 Civic LX

Hi, I have a 04 Civic LX. Recently, my car is vibrating when I put on the brakes. Also, it has now started to vibrate even when I put the car into reverse gear. The vibration is quite vigorous when I start but slowly decreases after I drive it for a while (say half an hour). I took it to Honda dealer and they said it was normal and could happen because of the weather or bad gas (which didn't make sense to me at all). Can you please refer me to the vibration links which you have mentioned in your post? Thanks.
