98 running hot
temp all the way to the L. both fans only run when AC is running. otherwise they dont seem to wanna come on. bad temp guage or bad water pump. please wiegh in.....anything will help

Fred, try a 180 thermostat. Now my temp gauge always reads in the middle of the range.
But, yeah, the WP could be on its way out, too. T-stat is the easiest thing to change quickly, to see if it helps. If I'm not mistaken, the fans should come on at about the A on the gauge. Check that system, too. |

Make sure the radiator is clear of obstructions, bugs, etc.
When was the last time the cooling system was flushed? Did you check the coolant level? You may have a bad temp switch that is not allowing the fan to come on. |
