Thumbs up Re: Abs problems

Hi, I know I've asked for help about this issue a couple of times before. It's been quite a while since I've logged on or posted here. I just wanted to let people know. I've found a posible solution to the multiple complaints about the cavy a.b.s. issues I've read about over the last couple of years. I'm not very knowledgeable about cars or how they work. That's why I come here. My roomate and friend of 15 years was a mechanic for about 12 years. He informed me of a common problem with front wheel drive G.M. cars. The ring gear around the axle, sometimes has cracks in the teeth, or has broken teeth. I never have completely understood all he told me. But, it has something to do with the a.b.s. speed sensor not connecting with these teeth sometimes. Or something to that effect. I hope he was right and this has been helpful.

The broken ring was more of a problem on some fords on some models.
Abs problems come in all different kinds sises and shapes and forms..
That is why they makes ABS scanners to check them out.

Yes, they make abs scanners to check out problems. But, when my cavy was diagnosed with the same problem twice. I had a brand new wheel speed sensor replaced at no cost. It did not help at all. I hope this info helps some people. Because, I've been told it is an all to common problem with certain year G.M. year cars. Thanks for the reply...

The scanner will show you the problem.
But codes do not say repace sensors.
They point you to the problem and say check it out.
