Re: re-paint?

i've only seen a few cars painted with spray paint and they all looked like complete crap. you may end up making your car look a lot worse. i don't really know anything about painting though

Re: re-paint?

well, ive seen a lot of people spray red spray paint and it looks horrible. i was thinking about getting a quarter panel from the junk yard and testing it to see if it would come out ok. i want to paint it jet black so mabye some imperfections wont show up as much...

Re: re-paint?

You could always try out a bunch of different sized nozzles (like a big fat spray pattern), that might help a little.

That is just the cost for an overspray with no prep work.

Re: re-paint?

Spray paint will not look good..I had bought the croma color spray paint and attempted one strip on my old 87 civic hatch and surley enough it looked like someone spray painted the car...

Re: re-paint?

well if you want soemthign thats decent yet stil lwithstands the elements you coudl always got with epoxy primer sealer. its a low gloss flat styel color but its not bad and its quite cheap. i use it for body work and as a base coat.

Re: re-paint?

Yeah dont go with maacco or earl shrieb or even try to spray paint your car. Either get yourself a quality paint job at a good paint shop, or just primer your car if your desperate to change the paint. You'll end up regretting the shitty paint job youll get with macco or earl shreib.

Re: re-paint?

i bought a bumper and hood from a yard that was the wrong color, and used spray paint. it looked like spray paint untill i , wet sanded it, and used rubbing compound. it got rid of all that orange peel texture and it came out smooth s glass. and it only cost me like $25. it did take a long time though. all by hand. 1 1\2 wet sand and probably 2 - 2 1/2 hrs with the rubbing compound. just for the hood alone.
