Question Parts on E-Bay?

So Im flippin around the E-bay on the ol' computer here and Im seein' crazy things.

I see this body kit for $200! Then the voices start runnin through my head:

"WOW! Wicked cool! THAT body kit for $200. Shweet!"

then...

"Waaaiiiitt a minute. I betcha this bastard just took a picture at a show and is tryin' to rip some folks off. Dirty SOB!"

but on the same token...

"However, E-bay is an auction site where there has to be some means of tracking the seller. Plus they enable legal action if need be. Hmmm"

Essentially...me thinks if its too good to be true, it probably is. However, Im seein' all kinds of wicked stuff for cheap that I could slap on my ghetto fabulous '92 VX to atleast make it look respectable. Also, Im seein some decent parts for some decent prices. What cha'll think about E-bay stuff? Suggestions? Warnings? ETC...

or should I just be pleased that Summit Racing finally added a sport compact section to their catalogue?

Bodykits off ebay are cheap and flimsy.
They don't fit correctly.
You'll be paying for in the end.

Depends on the seller, but if the body kit is 200 (also check if its just the front bumper) chances are they are cheap and flimsy and dont fit correctly.

Don't buy a body kit off summit I think they would sell them for expensive.
Why not check out aerotrends.com

Same here, I never got ripped. I got almost everything on my car from ebay. Except my bodykit from aerotrends.com I bought a wing from ebay and the wing was so F--ked up that i had to bondo it like hell, and it still cracked. And the wing was shipped in bubble wrap.

I usually check ppls feedback and bid. If the feedback is good then bid.

So would it be a good idea to stick to things like tailights and other easy to find bolt-ons that just might be goin for cheaper on e-bay then? And you all who did get ripped (sorry that happened to you) but, how'd that happen -- what specifically should I look out for?

1. Lookout for deals that are "to good to be true"
2. Look around at other auctions and see what theyre prices are, pics, etc.
3. I wouldnt bid on somethin if it has a little bit on information on what ur spose to be payin for
4. if the person if sellin 10 or more things at the same time.
These are just some things Ive heard is common when people are tryin to scam you.

The guy i got the intake from was *directcarparts*

I just searched 88-91 civic intake, I assume you would search 92-95 civic intake.

It was a pretty good deal, brand new never used.
