Insurance

I'm looking at a srt 4 and for a 2005 insurance is over 3k a year. Any suggestions on how I might get that number a little lower? I have a clean record and everything.

By the age on your profile you are about 18. It's gonna suck for now. I mean full coverage on a newer car is going to be expensive. My first car was a 98 ford escort and my insurance was about 200 bucks a month, I was 18 at the time. I mean, if you have ever taken any drivers ed or anything it can lower your insurance. Or try to get the folks to put you on their coverage. If they can your insurance will be cheap as hell.

Also try when you look for insurance to use a broker. They usually charge a bit extra on your first payment. But they have the ability to get you some really great rates.

Re: Insurance

Take a drivers safety course. You can only take it once a year but it's supposed to lower your insurance a decent amount.

Re: Insurance

Try esurance they gave me a pretty good rate, you can also compare and they have some rare companies on the comparison so you might find a lower one there.

Re: Insurance

I did some searching on esurance and for the "standard" insurance which I would only assume that it would be full since it had collision and everything was clost to 3k a year but after I turn 19 in october it drops to 950 every 6 months
