Plastic Ford GT kit!

I have one! I saw it at Wal*Mart today, and just had to grab it. It's an AMT kit, and things seem pretty well made. The brakes are rubbish, though. The instructions, well, they make me want Revell, not to mention Tamiya. We'll have to see how it turns out.

I was considering that kit, but

It was put out under the still Polar Light's brand, about this time last year-prepainted. A few months later, it was rereleased under AMT, since aquiring PL-unpainted. Then again. Heh..was your version with the diecast? Good luck with this kit. It is pretty much straightfoward. Wish it had differnt, or choice of different wheels

Re: Plastic Ford GT kit!

Oh. Ok tho, I had seen a version with a 1:64ish scale JL along with it. Was yours with the yellow car boxart?
Edit, just searching ebay...Apparently, this kit has been reboxed about 4 times already since it was released last year! Heh..gosh..

Re: Plastic Ford GT kit!

Nope. Red box, blue car, came with a little Matchbox version, too.

EDIT: Top box.

Re: Plastic Ford GT kit!

That's the only kit I've seen besides the PL one.

Re: Plastic Ford GT kit!

Heh...all those releases..No wonder how people could think it is a "new kit"> shit..anyway..nice find I believe all the panels were molded shut. Unless there was some retooling along the way?
