pcv valve

here is a stupid question.. i am looking at my 2.3 4cyl and see my pcv valve just hanging i have looked and cant find the hole where in pushes in to? not sure how long this has been this way, but having a few probs with my car and wondering where it goes if you can help? there are no holes in the valve cover to put it.. one hose connects to the intake the other goes towards the firewall and around .. i just need to know where it plugs in

Re: pcv valve

Well, I just did a hands-on and followed the pcv hose to a place right under the intake system. The hose connects on a nipple about 2 inches in front of the oil filter.

Re: pcv valve

hey thanks i finally took a mirror and looked all over found where it goes.. actually a rubber hose coming from the front of the engine going back under the intake and angles up where some of the sensors are. couldnt see the hose before but with light and mirror i found it.. while there i replaced a few vacuum lines and stillacts like its not gettin fuel, until it warms up. cuts out, almost sounds like backfire throught the carb although it has fuel injection, back firing through the throttle body i guess.. any help here?
