Re: Vaccum Line Diagram

The guys who have emailed me for the Vaccum Line Diagram I'm sorry but I don't any longer have the file that Gator sent me. I lost it when my computer crashed about 6 months ago. I have it now only on paper where I had printed it off. I wish I had a scanner to be able to send it to ya'll but I don't. I noticed that the last time Gator posted was in May of this year. So don't know what has happened to him.

Hey Gator! How have you been? I got the Vaccum Diagram you sent. Thanks again.

You wouldn't beleive I just got my toyota tercel torn down after waiting 9 months. After our last discussion on putting in new rings and new bearings things got pretty busy around here. We bought the place we are living at and started clearing the land off getting rid of these darn pine trees. I don't miss them at all that's for sure, and if you've ever had dealing with pines in your yard you completely understand. Now back to the car. We finished putting in the new rings and bearings this past Friday. I've not driven her alot since we have but the airconditioner now has power to do it's things and it'll freeze your booty off. The car isn't no longer smoking like a steam engine when first cranked up. When we first took the head off this time my clean valves were mucked with stuff that looked like dried burnt charcoal. We cleaned it off and the valves looked fine. Not egg shaped as before. The valves had started chattering and that's probably why. He had the timing set a little off too. I hope I'm set now for a long while. I'll be letting you know how the gas milage is doing. Right now so far I've used only a 4th a tank and it's gone 75 miles. Before it would get only 50 to 60.

Re: Vaccum Line Diagram

Being originally from FLA I know all about those pine trees. Now I have to deal with these damn swet gum trees!!! Glad to hear you got the car running. I have put almost 50k on mine since the partial rebuild and it gets a pretty constant 36 mpg around town. I ran about 150 miles last weekend behind a charter bus at 80 mph and still got 38!!

Good luck with it.

I am now at 240K on this little car!

I know way to well about them damn sweet gum tree's. The balls on those things are as bad or worse than pine cones. We have quite a few around here, but there were more pine trees than sweet gum.

Car is still running great with no oil missin!

Just curious about something, were the oil rings collapsed when you took the engine apart? Mine were. After changing rings and valve stem seals my tercel doesn't even use any oil between changes(3 to 4k)

Are you talking about collapsed, like stuck up inside the slit? If so then yes. Not a one of them were broken or anything. The cylinder walls were just as smooth as a baby's butt. So far I've used a half a tank and it's on 152 miles and that's running the air conditioner. I've got a knocking noise coming from the passengers side sounds like the front tire. It doesn't do it all the time but sounds like something hitting the bottom like your dragging something hanging down, but nothings there. I just wonder if it's not a cv joint. I priced those and they are about 60 bucks a peice.

If possible, can you send me one for a , '87 model, 3 dr hatchback? I have the one in my hood, but it's faded to the point of unreadablility. Also a Haynes manual, but not diagrammatic - was only illustrational
As i could see all my vacuum hoses are all over the freaking place, like some newb just stuck them wherever they saw fit. And there is so many of them, it's like some sort of unsolvable maze.
[email protected] thanks for any help
