So im cruising around enjoying some good tunes and this early 90s mustang GT comes rolling up along side me. I think nothing of it at first and he gets on it a little and him and his friend look over and smile. I ignore them at first because I dont really like to race in this particular area, but they continue to test my patience, so I finally drop it down a gear and give it just a little so the BOV goes off right next to their window. Well that got their attention and the passenger sticks his head out the window and says "Hey lets go out to the country and race." I kind of smirked and said thats ok I dont want to waste my gas. The driver laughs and says somthing to his friend who proceeds to tell me that if I win they will fill my tank.
That gets my attention I was at 1/4 of a tank. So I asked really? And he nods and says follow. So we get to the spot and he says is that thing awd? I say no and ask him if he wants to go from a dig, he then tells me no and that we should go from a 25mph roll

I dont disagree, and say alright sounds good. As soon as we hit 25 I let him get the jump on me just to make sure he doesnt say I left early. So he gets about a 1/2 car lead and I punch it and fly past him in 2nd. I shift slowly knowing he has no chance in hell and while im shifting to 3rd I look back and hes not gaining at all, I hammer it in 3rd and the lengths continue to grow, many bus lengths lol... I shut down around 120ish and wait and wait for him. Him and his buddy were extremely shocked and wanted to see under the hood and all. We go and they fill up my tank and said they didnt know how much power it was making they didnt expect that out of a V6. He tells me that they only have exhaust done on the mustang and the rest is stock....pretty fun night though, free gas is always nice..

Ive had two races exactly like that but in my case the pricks hightail it outta there without paying up.

Im curious with all the VR-4s comming around here now. Have any of you guys taken your cars to the track?
I wanna see what the VR-4s are running.

i wanna see what galants are running. screw the 3kgt's they are too fast anyways.

Nice. A stock fox-body is a match for a DOHC n/a, certainly not a modiffied twin turbo. Good kill.

his car is not a VR4, its the FWD with a aftermarket turbo. but nice kills, those guys gotta be stupid to think they can win.

Yeah he's a TT 13G SL/Base(?) You would have raped them to begin with, going from a roll only hurt them more...it would have been a close race when you were stock. Congrats on the free gas.

i got free gas yesterday. friend said he could beat me in madden 07, and i killed him. cost him 36.58 dollars to fill me up. that was the highlight of the week.

lol, to answer a few things. First the road we went out to is a common place to race. It happens all the time over here. Secondly, the car was a Stealth R/T Naturally aspirated. I just had the twin turbo manifolds put on and then larger turbos (13gs) and alot of other goodies. Its really funny because around here its just alot of average V8 cars rolling around like camaros, mustangs. Nothing heavily modified at all and very very few turbocharged cars. So i get a crap load of people wanting to race, yes even guys in trucks :o

We don't get many american cars here but I saw a dakota for the first time in real life the other day and fuck me that truck is HUGE. No wonder it cost so much to fill.
