People With Real Hoop Spoilers

Hey you guys with genuine 97-99 Hoop spoilers, could yall measure the hight of the center section from the hatch to the top of the middle. I bought an Ebay hoop spoiler and it looks great, but I read somewhere that they ebay hoops may be shorter then the real ones. I just want to see if its true.

does your hatch still stay up? I would think the hoop would be heavier than the gen 1 spoiler...but the AA ones have all the extra crap...so i could be wrong...

from the center of the hatch to the top of the middle of the spoiler is 8 1/4" with the tape vertical.

and i see ur turbo im doin a tt conv so if u come across an ecu, ic piping, front motor mount, etc (stuff thats hard to come by) let me know THanks Sawyer

The Ebay ones are REPLICAS, ie the mold was made using an existing hoop spoiler.

Thank you sooo much wakeboard1026, i'll take some measurements on mine tomrrow, and lol @ stealthee.
I only have one crappy phone cam pic of the side, i'll take some better shots later and post them up, the spoiler is not painted just black primed.


does it look as high as yours from the side?

the replica hoop is MUCH lighter then the active aero, my hatch shoots up now, i have to guide it up cuz it scares me lol

thanks, but there 17x9 Cobra R rims, I might but my freinds saleen wheels off his mustang due to the fact that they are 18 inches and it would fill in the gap better then the cobra rims, I jus finished installing my intrax springs in that pic too

are you going to go for 2g sideskirts or is that even possible? ive always wondered about that

yes i am going with 2G side skirts and yes they do just bolt on. My main reason for the switch is this. I alwaysed favored 1G sides, but now with the hoop spoiler, it makes the center of the car look too skinny and it looks funny. with a 2G car next to mine, the sides on the 2G a like half an inch or more wider so the extra bulk makes the car look more correct

The spoiler will be molded on to the quater panel once I get my cianci wide body fenderds and i am cotemplating molding off the line that goes across the side of the car.
