Water leaking into the oil pan

Last week, I was on my way home when my 1992 buick skylark ran hot on the freeway. It barely made it home. I popped the hood to find that the coolant was really low. I filled it with coolant. turned on the engine and white smoke started coming out of the tail pipe. I wanted to check to see if the cylenders and spark plugs where taking on water.I turned it off and checked and changed all the spark plugs. None of the spark plug or cylinders had traces of water in them. When I checked the oil, there was water mixed in with oil. I am thinking its the water pump seal thats leaking or maybe its the head gasket that leaking Does anyone know?
I did have trouble starting it the first time I tryed to start it after I got it home the day it over heated. It seened as if it did not want to turn over, not even ones. It was like somthing was holding the engine back from turning over. Could someone please help?!
I just want to find out where the leak is so I can fix it.

Please help!

Re: Water leaking into the oil pan

sound like it could be head gasket or cracked head!
