Mitsubishi's 3000gt vs Toyota's supra.....

I’m on the main road at 1:00 in the afternoon last Saturday and I’ve got my sounds blasting to Ridin (Feat Krazie Bone) and then I see a RZ supra pull up next to my car. we are travelling the legal speed limit at about 60mph

I get a good look at this beast man it looks phat, He has dark black tinted windows he winds down the window and yells something out I couldn’t hear what he said but he’s looking at mine like he’s thinking the same thing, his car was Low, very low and had 2” deep dish mags sitting on very low profile tires to the front and 3” to the black, it had some type of body kit that wasn’t over done and the car was all in black (favourite colour for these cars)

I turn down the music and wind down my mirror when he floors it sounding off his BOV I can even hear his turbo’s spoil hard the thing spins like crazy at 60mph for a sec and then it just takes off up the road dodging through traffic like crazy.

I’m pretty good when it comes to dodging traffic so I follow him and catch up he’s only about 6 car lengths away I dodge through a gap between two family sedans and then left past a Van etc I had my sights set on the supra who is about 3 car lengths in front on the same lane he dodges a very narrow gap to the right lane and I try the same thing not to be stopped buy some stock standard STI who speed up and then slowed back down to the legal speed limit WTF and wouldn’t let me past,

I was stuck in traffic travelling 60mph and the supra was out of site. 5min latter once the traffic freed up The STI try’s to race me, But I shift down to third and leave him in my dust hoping to find the supra, I’m caning it going an average speed of 100mph – 120mph in a 40-60mph zone.

Its 5 min latter and I see him, I come to a slow Once I hit the small town in Bell block I finally catch up to him when he turn’s off into the country side hell yea this is my time now supra man lol I turn off and follow him

I turned the sounds back up and boost past him, yea I did a ricer flyby for the first time, hell I was nervous as hell and I knew this guy was boosting some serious power I boost it redline in first double clutch RPM’s drop to 5500RPM double clutch redline then to 3rd down to 5000rpm look down and shit 120mph granny shift to 4th and my RPM’s drop down to 4000rpm the RPM slowly climes up to 6000rpm I’m nervous as hell mainly cause I don’t know the road (only been down it twice) and it has unpredictable sharp turns and most of it has B road type corners.

I look in my reverse mirror and all I see if a Fucking big front mount with wheels He’s inching closer eye’s back on the road shit a sharp S type corner down to 3rd and power brake RPMs jump to red line I loos a bit of traction on the first corner but I was able to execllerate out ot the second OK holy shit felt like a second to take both corners.

rpms are at about 6000rpm in 3rd red line and then down to 4th coming through a short strait I look back and he’s lost a car length on me hit 6000rpm and then brake too early he jumps feet away from my bumper I shift down to 3rd and try to regain the gap going around two bends he’s still there we must have come out of those bends going 100mph fark down to 4th and he slowly inches closer to my bumper, we are on a strait and he attempts to pass me I shift to 5th 5000rpm 140mph, 6th 160mph 180mph and he inches up to the side of my car slowly passing and then he brakes

I could barely see the end of the road up ahead I look into my reverse mirror and I see him Come to a stop and turns into a property (Probably where he lives) I brake hard (FYI these are with Brembo F40’s) while also power braking through all gears fark I’m still going 80mph and the end of the road is well Clare by this point, I’m redlining in first when shortly after I come to a complete stop just feet away from the stop line, this is no BS my hart was pumping and I was sweating like hell, I go home through town the orange fuel light is on I pull into a petrol station to refill my car with 95oct which was half full by the beginning of the race. I call it a day, that was enough racing for a weekend……….

Good kill. You sure you hit 180mph. If so, you are in face nuts.

Poopras are killer roll beasts. Racing one from a roll is practically asking for a loss.

Vin Diesel, you only double clutch when you are downshifting. So I have no idea how you managed double clutching after redlining first. Did F&F just make it's debut in NZ?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Same problem. You double clutch when DOWNSHIFTING. 2nd->3rd is shifting UP.
