Exclamation 31" tires on '98 jimmy sle... how?

so i bought some nice 31"x10.50x15 bf goodrich all terrain tires on 15" gmc rims. i took them to goodyear to put em on and it was almost all set until they showed me the tire would rub when turning..

my friend who has owned many blazers and is a machanic told me i could adjust the torsion bar to raise the front end and everything should be all set, maybe get some add-a-leafs in the back.

i guess what i am asking is it is recommended to adjust the torsion bar for my 31"s to fit. i could get a body lift but i dont want to dump alot of money into this right now. thanks

Do they only rub when turning? If they only rub when the tires are turned full lock then adjust the steering stops. Unless they rub almost immediately, then you'd definitely need some kind of lift. The torsion bar has an adjuster screw at the rear of it but I'm not sure if it can be used to adjust the height THAT much.
