power mirrors

so like, I took my doors off and I was painting them and then I took the mirror covers off to paint them and found this:
so is that to hook up power mirrors? b/c I don't currently have those...and that would be cool, lol.

the connector looks stock..but there's nothing to connect it to..it's not like a mirror defroster or anything is it?...does anybody know b/c the passenger side doesn't have it.

that is definatly for power mirrors cuz mine has that, maybe that mirror was replaced at some point

Yes but dont you think he would have replaced it with another power one?? Also what weird is that the passenger side one on his car doesnt have that harness.

the driver side was prolly the one replaced cuz the only cavys that have power are Z-24's i think, so they prolly just replaced it with what they had laying around at the time, and also notice the missing foam on the driver side, almost like they forgot to put it back when they possibly replaced the mirror

yeah...what? lol. That sucks, plus you have like 8 wires coming out of yours..mine consists of 3...I was thinking " Power...ground...control" but who knows...

Yes I know I have 8 wires coming from that one harness, thats because that is the control for the mirror. If you look at the other harness going into the mirror its the same as the on that is on your car.

nope, my piece of shit RS has power mirrors, and a power sunroof

and yes, thats definetely for power mirrors, sucks your gonna have to stick your hand out the window everytime you wanna adjust it, they probably just did it cuz thats all they could find in the junkyard, thats my guess

yeah that would be pretty stupid, but keep in mind were talking about mirrors here, not as big of a deal as windows

i typed the vin number into my insurance website, when i first got it and that's what it came up as......might be cause of different years.
