stabilizer link
I need to know how to take off a stabilizer link or sway bar whatever it's called. I wrecked my car and I am currentlly fixing it. Please help.

The stabilizer link is basically a long bolt with rubber bushings, a spacer and some washers on it. If they are rusted, just cut the bolt and replace with new (they're only $4-$5 each). To remove the bar itself, there are two rubber mounts that hold the bar to the frame. Jack the car up and support it on jack stands. Remove the stabilizer links first, then reomve the two bolts that attach the frame mounts to the car and drop the bar out. Depending on how the bar is routed through the frame, you may have to remove the tires for clearance to fish the old bar through and out.
