Will Not Shift Into Gear
My sons 1997 M3 automatic , will not shift out of park. the car starts but the shifter will not move. any ideas? thanks in advance.

You have to push in the brake pedal first. lol, just playing.
This happened to a friend of mine. She had popped her transmission and it needed repair/replacing...its still in the shop.
