Ford Expedition 1998 Water Noises / Smell

I hear a sloshing of water when I accellerate and brake and have some odor from the AC. I read the posts and found the drain tube that comes out of the firewall. I couldn't reach it from the top but I was able to stick a coat hanger into from the bottom but it didn't seem to result in a fix. Some water drains, but it clearly has water stuck somewhere.

Any ideas? Any help would be great!

Bob.

does the noise dome from the dash area or lower like next to the doors?

Re: Ford Expedition 1998 Water Noises / Smell

It seems like right in the middle of the dash. I'm not sure about the smell any longer and my heat is impacted. If the car idles the amount of heat tapers off. I checked and I was about 1.5 gallons down in antifreeze. My thought now is that there is air in the heater core that is trapped. Ive topped off the coolant, elevated the front of the truck to try and release any air to no avail. Any help would be great!
